Illuminate your bathroom: discover the different types of pendant lights
Design pendant lights: modernize your bathroom
Design models of bathroom ceiling light are perfect for adding a contemporary touch to this room. They come in a range of shapes and materials, from metal to glass, and suit all interior styles.
Metal pendant lights: industrial style in your bathroom
For those who appreciate industrial style, a metal pendant light is ideal. It offers a robust yet modern look. Finishes such as brass, copper, matt black or lacquered white add an extra touch of elegance.
Glass pendants: elegance and luminosity
Glass pendant lights are a smart choice for those seeking a bright, elegant ambience. Opaline glass, for example, disperses light gently and evenly, creating a warm atmosphere.
The guide to choosing the ideal hanging lamp for your bathroom
Size matters: how to choose the perfect hanging lamp for your space
It’s important to measure the size of your bathroom before choosing a pendant fixture. A pendant light that’s too imposing in a small space is likely to suffocate the room, while one that’s too small will be unobtrusive and won’t provide the desired lighting. Take the measurements of your ceiling and consider the overall volume of the room to make the right choice.
Style and design: how to match your pendant to your bathroom
Matching the pendant light to your bathroom’s existing decor is essential to create visual harmony. Materials, colours and shapes must be consistent with the overall style. For example, if you have a bathroom with a streamlined design, opt instead for pendant lights with simple, modern lines like this minimalist, modern black LED bathroom ceiling light.
Perfect lighting: choose a pendant with good brightness and a warm colour
Lighting is paramount in a bathroom. It must be powerful enough to allow comfortable use while creating a pleasant atmosphere. For optimum brightness and reduced energy consumption, opt for LED lamps. Also, be sure to choose a pendant that diffuses a warm colour, conducive to relaxation.
Criteria not to overlook when choosing your bathroom ceiling light
Lighting power: how to adapt it to your needs
Adapting lighting power to your needs is essential for optimum comfort. To do this, take into account the size of your bathroom and the areas to be lit (mirror, shower, etc.). Multiply light sources if necessary, for example by combining a ceiling light with wall sconces or recessed spotlights.
Electrical standards: safety first
It’s imperative to comply with current electrical standards to avoid any risk of accident. As the bathroom is divided into several zones according to their proximity to water, each zone imposes specific rules on the type of lighting allowed. Find out more about these standards and follow them scrupulously when installing your pendant light.
Safe installation: how to install a ceiling light in your bathroom
Solid ceiling and appropriate fixings: the prerequisites
Before any installation, check the solidity of your ceiling and choose fixings suited to the weight and size of the lamp. Make sure electrical wiring complies with current standards to avoid any risk of accident.
Calling in a professional: when is it necessary?
If you’re not familiar with electrical work, it’s best to call in a professional to install your bathroom pendant. He or she will know how to comply with safety standards and ensure that the installation presents no danger.
Respecting safety regulations and standards: the essentials
To ensure the durability and safety of your pendant light, follow the instructions provided carefully. Please observe the electrical standards specific to the bathroom to avoid any risk of electrocution or fire.
Maintenance of your bathroom ceiling light: our tips for long-lasting lighting
Regular cleaning: how to care for your pendant
Regular maintenance is essential to keep your pendant bright and functional. Regularly dust the fixture with a soft, damp cloth, not forgetting the bulbs. For metal or glass pendant lights, use specific products to clean and shine surfaces.
Avoid water splashes: protect your hanging lamp
To prolong the life of your bathroom pendant, be sure to install it at a reasonable distance from water sources such as the shower or sink. This will prevent direct water splashes onto the fixture and preserve its proper operation.
Replacing bulbs: how to avoid electrical problems
Change defective bulbs as soon as necessary to guarantee optimal lighting and avoid any electrical problems. Opt for LED bulbs, which offer long life and reduced energy consumption.
In conclusion, choosing a bathroom light adapted to your needs and preferences is essential for creating a bright and aesthetic atmosphere every day. Take the time to compare different models, consider important criteria such as size, style, lighting power and IP rating, and don’t forget to scrupulously follow electrical standards when installing.
Our bathroom pendant lights in detail
Our bathroom pendant lights are mostly modern (about two thirds) or minimalist designs, with some Scandinavian and vintage models. Metal is used in about half of them, followed by acrylic, glass, wood and ceramic, with touches of copper, aluminium or brass. White is the most common colour, ahead of black, with some green, blue, grey, beige or gold models. More than half are round, from flat LED discs to globe shades.
Many take a standard E27 bulb and about one in five has integrated LEDs; nearly half come with the bulb included, as shown on each product page. All of them ship from our warehouse in China, with delivery in about 8 working days on average. Examples include the round metal LED bathroom pendant light, the minimalist black LED bathroom pendant light and the round Scandinavian wooden pendant light. Near the bath or shower, check its IP rating and ask an electrician about bathroom zones.

FAQ bathroom ceiling light
Can I install any type of pendant in my bathroom?
No, bathroom pendant fixtures must be specifically designed to withstand moisture. Look for fixtures rated for wet areas or with an appropriate IP (Ingress Protection) rating for areas exposed to water.
What IP rating is required for a bathroom ceiling light?
For areas near the bath or shower, you need a fixture with a suitable IP rating, protected against splashing water: check the IP rating on the product page and ask an electrician about bathroom zones. For areas further away from water sources, a lower IP rating may suffice.
How high should I hang a pendant in the bathroom?
Pendants should be hung in such a way as to avoid contact with the head and minimize direct exposure to water. In general, they should be installed at least 2.25 metres from the floor if above a bathtub or shower, unless they are out of reach of a standing person; check the zone rules with your electrician.
How do I choose the right pendant size for my bathroom?
Size will depend on the size of your bathroom and the desired effect. For small bathrooms, a single medium-sized pendant may suffice, while for large bathrooms, several pendants or a large central light fixture might be required.
What type of light is recommended for a bathroom pendant light?
A bright white light is often recommended for the bathroom, especially around mirrors for tasks such as shaving or make-up. Bulbs with a high colour rendering index (CRI) are preferable for better colour appreciation.
